Services
The decisions that shape a home, designed properly
01
The Comprehensive Design Service
The thinking that happens before everything else.
This service focuses on the plan and interior architecture of a home: where rooms, walls and openings belong; how people move through the space; how furniture will sit within it; and how the permanent architectural details come together.
- What it involves
A detailed review of the existing or proposed floor plan, testing alternative layouts, circulation and sight lines, furniture-scale planning, and the development of a resolved layout that architects and contractors can build from.
The service also considers the fixed architectural elements that give an interior its character: door and window openings, ceiling treatments, architraves and reveals, internal glazing, stair details, wall treatments, floor transitions, shadow gaps and the junctions where materials meet.
- Who it's for
Homeowners who know their house doesn't flow as well as it should, buyers evaluating the potential of a property, and anyone beginning a renovation or new build who wants the plan properly questioned before it becomes fixed.
- What it solves
Rooms that are the wrong size for how they're used. Kitchens disconnected from family life. Wasted corridors. Awkward furniture arrangements. Homes that somehow feel smaller than their square footage.
It also addresses the details that can make an otherwise beautiful interior feel unresolved: flat architecture, awkward transitions, poorly considered openings and finishes that meet without intention.
- When to involve Nadine
As early as possible, ideally before construction drawings are finalized if it's a new build. If it's a renovation, ideally six to nine months before the work has to take place.
Moving a wall on paper costs a conversation. Moving it on site costs considerably more.
For projects involving an architect, Nadine can work alongside the architectural team during design development to ensure the interior and architecture are resolved together rather than separately.
- What to expect
A considered set of layout solutions with the reasoning behind them, developed into one resolved plan that can be carried confidently into construction.
Where required, this is supported by detailed interior drawings and specifications coordinated with the wider project team, so the built result reflects the original design intent.
02
The Full Service
A complete interior design service for transforming an existing house or condominium, from the first assessment of the property through to the finished home.
The studio develops the overall design direction, produces the drawings and specifications, selects and procures the materials and furnishings, and remains involved throughout execution, hiring contractors and coordinating the many decisions required to bring the design together.
- What it involves
Assessment and replanning of the existing property where required; interior architecture; space planning; kitchens and bathrooms; lighting and electrical layouts; material, finish and colour specification; custom joinery; furniture, lighting and accessory selection; procurement; contractor coordination; installation and final styling.
The result is one cohesive design rather than a series of independent decisions made throughout the renovation.
- Who it's for
Owners of houses and condominiums in the Cayman Islands who want to substantially improve their property, whether the home is dated, poorly planned, unfinished or simply no longer reflects the way they live.
It is also suited to owners preparing a high-end rental property who want the interior to feel considered, distinctive and commercially durable.
- What it solves
The gap between a property's potential and its current state.
More importantly, it avoids the common situation where significant money is spent on a renovation but the finished home still doesn't feel quite right, because the layout, architectural details, materials and furnishings were never considered as one complete design.
- When to involve Nadine
Ideally six to nine months before the renovation period.
- What to expect
A clear design package covering layout, interior architecture, materials and colour, pricing and ordering, and a designer who stays engaged as decisions are built.

The Essentials
Building or renovating and already have the architecture underway?
The Essentials focuses on the decisions that determine how the finished home will actually look and feel: materials, finishes, colour, lighting and the practical details that need to be established before construction progresses too far.
It is a focused design service for clients who don't require full-service interior design but want professional direction on the permanent choices they will live with every day.
- What it involves
Review of the architectural plans from an interior perspective, room and furniture planning where required, placement of built-ins, electrical and lighting planning, and the development of a cohesive palette of flooring, stone, tile, timber, paint, hardware and other finishes.
Selections are considered not only for how they look together, but for how they will perform in a Caribbean climate, including humidity, salt air, intense sunlight and everyday use.
The final selections are documented in a clear finish schedule that contractors can follow.
- Who it's for
Clients building a new home or undertaking a renovation who already have an architect, contractor or construction plan in place but need help resolving the interior selections.
- What it solves
The familiar frustrations of building without an interior plan: lighting in the wrong place, insufficient outlets, storage considered too late, rooms that don't accommodate furniture properly, and finishes chosen independently rather than as part of a whole.
It also prevents materials that look beautiful in isolation, or in a showroom, from feeling disconnected once installed throughout the house.
- When to involve Nadine
While the architectural drawings are still changeable and before materials, lighting, plumbing fixtures or finishes are ordered.
Ideally, the studio becomes involved during or shortly after the architect's concept stage.
- What to expect
A home that is visually and practically resolved before the expensive decisions become difficult to change.
You'll receive a cohesive material and colour direction, clearly documented selections and a visual language that carries naturally from one room to the next.
04
The Market-Ready Refresh
Selling your home and want it to make the strongest possible first impression?
The Market-Ready Refresh is a targeted, cost-conscious design service focused on making an existing property feel brighter, more cohesive and more appealing before it reaches the market, without undertaking an unnecessary full renovation.
- What it involves
A room-by-room assessment of the property to identify the changes that will have the greatest visual impact.
Depending on the home, this may include paint and colour recommendations, lighting updates, furniture editing and rearrangement, replacement of dated pieces, window treatments, artwork and accessories, minor cosmetic improvements, sourcing, styling and preparation for listing photography.
Where appropriate, the studio can work with pieces you already own rather than replacing everything.
- Who it's for
Homeowners preparing to sell their property, and landlords or investors preparing a home for the luxury sales or rental market.
- What it solves
Homes that feel dated, cluttered, unfinished or visually inconsistent; rooms that don't photograph well; and properties where buyers struggle to see the potential despite a good location, layout or underlying architecture.
Rather than spending indiscriminately before selling, the focus is placed on the changes most likely to improve the presentation of the property.
- When to involve Nadine
Ideally four to six months before the property is due to go on the market.
This allows enough time to assess the home, source any required pieces, complete cosmetic work and style the property before photography and viewings begin.
- What to expect
A clear, prioritised plan for preparing the home for market, with recommendations tailored to the property's condition, target buyer and available budget.
The result is a home that feels polished, inviting and ready to be photographed, viewed and remembered.

Furniture, Accessories & Procurement
Know what you want your home to feel like but need help finding the right pieces, and actually getting them to the Cayman Islands?
The studio can curate furniture, lighting, rugs, artwork and accessories for individual rooms or an entire home, then manage the purchasing and procurement process on your behalf.
- What it involves
Reviewing the room and existing pieces, developing the furniture direction, sourcing and curating suitable options, checking dimensions and scale, preparing selections for approval and placing orders once confirmed.
The studio can also coordinate purchasing, order tracking, freight forwarding and delivery logistics, helping manage the additional complexities that come with furnishing a home in Cayman.
Through trade relationships and suppliers including RH, Loloi, Crate & Barrel, CB2, Pottery Barn, West Elm, Visual Comfort and many others, the studio can source from a broad range of brands and makers.
- Who it's for
Clients who don't require a complete interior design service but want professional help furnishing a room, completing a home or sourcing particular pieces.
It is also ideal for clients who already know the brands or furniture they like but would prefer someone else to manage the selection, ordering and logistics.
- What it solves
Furniture that looks beautiful online but is the wrong scale once it arrives. Rooms assembled piece by piece without a cohesive direction. Hours spent comparing products, dimensions, finishes and availability.
And, particularly in Cayman, the considerable amount of time involved in ordering from multiple overseas suppliers, managing freight forwarders, tracking shipments and coordinating deliveries.
- When to involve Nadine
As soon as you know which spaces need furnishing.
For new homes and renovations, beginning selections well before completion is recommended, particularly where furniture, lighting or custom pieces have longer lead times.
- What to expect
A considered selection of pieces chosen specifically for your home, presented clearly for approval, followed by a coordinated procurement process from ordering through to arrival.
You get the finished room without having to manage twenty different suppliers to create it.
06
Custom Window Treatments, Made Accessible
Beautiful window treatments can transform a room, but traditionally made-to-measure drapery often comes with a significant price tag.
The studio offers a more accessible approach to custom curtains, Roman shades and window treatments, creating a polished, tailored look at a more considered cost. The focus is on achieving the proportions, finish and softness of a fully custom treatment without unnecessary expense.
- What it involves
Advice on the most appropriate treatment for each window, fabric and colour selection, lining and privacy requirements, heading style, length and fullness, hardware selection and accurate measurement.
The studio then coordinates quotations, ordering, fabrication and installation, with every decision made to balance appearance, practicality and budget.
- Who it's for
Homeowners who want beautiful, made-to-measure window treatments but don't want to spend excessively to achieve them.
It's ideal for clients looking for a more elevated alternative to ready-made curtains, as well as those needing practical solutions for privacy, glare and the strong Cayman sun.
The service can be used for a single room or carried consistently throughout an entire home.
- What it solves
The compromise between inexpensive ready-made curtains that rarely fit properly and traditional custom treatments that can become disproportionately expensive.
It also solves curtains that are too short, too narrow or poorly proportioned; inconsistent treatments from room to room; inadequate privacy or light control; and the uncertainty around measurements, fabric quantities, hardware and installation.
- When to involve Nadine
For an existing home, at any stage.
For a renovation or new build, involving the studio before completion allows curtain tracks, recessed pockets, electrical requirements and fixing points to be considered before ceilings and walls are finished.
- What to expect
Beautifully proportioned, made-to-measure window treatments designed specifically for your home, with careful consideration given to both the finished look and the overall cost.
The result feels tailored, elegant and intentional, without the price point traditionally associated with fully bespoke drapery.
Questions clients ask
When should an interior designer join a new-build project?
Earlier than most people expect, ideally while the architectural drawings can still change. The most valuable interior decisions are the invisible ones: where walls, windows, switches, storage and built-ins sit. Once construction documents are issued, those decisions are largely fixed, and the designer's role shrinks to finishing what's already been decided. If you're planning a new build in the Cayman Islands, the best moment to talk is around the architect's concept stage.
Can Nadine work with an existing architect or contractor?
Yes. Much of the studio's work is collaborative, joining a team you've already assembled. Nadine's background in interior architecture means she speaks the same technical language as architects and builders, so the working relationship is one of coordination rather than competition. If your team is already in place, just mention it in your inquiry.
What is included in interior architecture?
Interior architecture covers the fixed, built elements of your home: the layout of rooms, ceiling treatments, door and window openings, internal glazing, wall panelling and finishes, floor transitions, staircase details and integrated joinery. It's distinct from decoration, which deals with the movable layer. Most of the studio's projects involve both, but the architecture is always resolved first.
Does the studio work on condominium renovations?
Yes, condominium renovation is a core part of the studio's work, including units on Seven Mile Beach. Condominiums bring their own constraints: strata approvals, building rules, service risers that can't move, and construction logistics in an occupied building. The design process takes those realities into account from the start rather than discovering them mid-project.
Does the studio accept projects outside Grand Cayman?
The studio is based in Grand Cayman and most projects are in the Cayman Islands. Select international projects are considered depending on scope and timing, and the best way to find out is simply to describe yours in an inquiry.
How far in advance should we inquire?
For renovations, ideally six to nine months before you hope to start on site, good design takes time, and contractor lead times in Cayman need to be planned around. For new builds, get in touch as soon as you're working with an architect, or before. It's never too early for a conversation; it's often too late.
What should we prepare before a first consultation?
Nothing polished, but a few things make the first conversation far more useful: any existing drawings or floor plans, photographs of the property as it is, a sense of your realistic overall budget, your hoped-for timing, and notes on what isn't working now. Saved images of interiors you respond to help too, less as a shopping list than as a way of understanding your taste.
A question that isn't answered here? Ask it directly , the studio answers every genuine inquiry.
Not sure which service your project needs?
Describe the property and what isn't working, recommending the right scope is the first thing the studio does.
